SKMF is a platform bringing together knowledge management enthusiasts in Switzerland and beyond. Our aim is to engage people, who are active in the knowledge management network. By initiating and coordinating activities, the SKMF connects practitioners and interested parties in the field of knowledge management. Periodic activities foster personal exchange between all involved stakeholders. Our regional SKMF roundtables, which are open to all interested persons, are the platform for discussing new trends and stimulating the launch of new topics. In order to promote and support the dissemination of knowledge about knowledge management, the SKMF cooperates with public and private institutions in Switzerland and abroad. Everyone interested in the topic of Knowledge Management is welcome to join as a member.
Please note that the session will be offered as bilingual - French and English. The session will use a Knowledge Management canvas (adapted from USAID, currently in use by the International Labour Organisation to train project managers on knowledge management) that helps participants explore their personal knowledge management habits with a view to developing an understanding of their organisation's (or team's) knowledge management culture in order to make strategic decisions, you need to know what you're working with (i.e. this is related to governance). The knowledge management canvas will take participants on a journey regarding how they find, share, and use information in their work, including challenges and opportunities encountered. As a deliverable, they will each create their own knowledge management profile, similar to a user persona, to achieve this understanding. Additionally, this exercise will guide participants on how to use this approach with their audiences for either gathering data or synthesizing information for needs assessments. The insights gained can then be used to tailor effective knowledge management interventions and an appropriate governance strategy. |
